The location of this place is simply stunning. Being surrounded by the charm of the lakes and having a beautiful waterfall just a short walk away was absolutely amazing. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, giving local tips and even explaining about the wildlife in the area. Another positive aspect was the self-catering kitchen, which was spacious and well-equipped.
One of the main downsides of this place was the lack of WiFi in the main areas. Although it was available in one room, it would have been more convenient to have access throughout the hostel.

A hidden gem with stunning views , situated by the shores of a beautiful lake, with breathtaking views of the surrounding fells. the location was perfect for exploring the natural beauty of the area. Friendly and helpful staff , the staff at the hostel were amazing, always available and willing to help. They provided excellent service and were knowledgeable about the local area, offering valuable advice and recommendations. Authentic and historic atmosphere , the building itself was a delight, with original features and a fascinating history. It was wonderful to stay in a place that had retained its character and charm.
Uncomfortable bunk bed mattresses , although the overall experience was great, the mattresses on the bunk beds were not the most comfortable. It would have been more enjoyable to have a better night's sleep.

We absolutely loved the location, with the lake just a short walk away. the pod accommodation was perfect for us, as we're not fans of camping. the unexpected surprise of the waterfall and trail behind the property was a highlight. the meals were delicious and well worth the price. the staff were extremely attentive and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Felt like being in the comfort of our own home, no complaints whatsoever.

Had a great New Year's stay at a hostel near some stunning waterfalls. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering tips on local attractions and wildlife sightings. The spacious dorms had personal lights for each bed, while the lounge area with a log fire was perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. The hostel's location near a bus stop and a lake made it easy to explore the area.
The lack of Wi-Fi in the main areas, although it was available in one room. , the hostel was a bit dated and could use some updating.

Over the Xmas season, I had a very peaceful stay in a 22-bed dormitory. the room was cozy, and the underfloor heating was a definite advantage. Hot water was consistently available for the showers, and the rooms were well insulated and warm. the location was perfect: a short walk to the lake shore and only a 10-pound taxi ride into town if necessary.
If you're looking for a place to meet other solo travelers, this hostel may not be the best fit. Most of the guests were families on vacation.

We loved the location of this hotel. It was situated in a beautiful area and it was very easy to catch the Keswick Launch to explore other parts of the lake. The hotel facilities were clean and the breakfast was delicious. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance.
All was perfect.

The location of the hostel was ideal for our Northern Lakes hiking trip, with a beautiful waterfall at the rear of the property. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in a local restaurant on our first night. the room was basic but had a comfortable bed, and both the room and bathroom were clean. the breakfast offered a wide variety of freshly cooked dishes. the hostel also had a pool table, TV room, and table tennis facilities available.
The soundproofing from the shared bathroom was poor, and we could hear every flush during the night.
